God works in mysterious ways!

Chad and I have been trying to find the right church for us for awhile now. We really enjoyed going to New Spring Church in Greenville and were trying to find a similar church in Orlando without much success. I'm not going to lie. I haven't been a consistent church goer since 2003. Chad and I had situations happened that effected our mind set about attending church. We thought for the longest time that you didn't need to attend church on Sunday to be a Christian and/or believe in God. We still feel that way, but we have quickly learned that surrounding ourselves with like people would help keep us stay on the right path. It also wouldn't hurt if we made a friend or two. I've made a few acquaintances but I haven't seem to find a good girlfriend in Orlando.

I truly meant it when I say, "God works in mysterious ways!" We found out about Grace Orlando Church off a man's shirt in our local Chipotle. Something caused Chad to look at their website and the rest is history.

Chad and I attending church services today. In my mind, we have found our church. It's perfect. Chad isn't as sold as I am, but he is willing to go back and that's all I can ask for. Please keep us in your prayers as we finally start our spiritually journey together. I hope we start being consistent church goers and we learn and grow every week. Also, could you please keep my grandmother in your prayers. She fell early Saturday morning and cracked a rib. She has weeks of recovery ahead.

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!

I hope you are able to be with the ones you love today. I actually didn't know Chad was going to be home for Valentine's Day until last week, so needless to say we don't have big plans. He has been working hard in Sarasota, FL and now, he has to get down to studying for his professional geologist exam. I did make him a red velvet cake with buttercream icing. It's delicious! Fun Valentine's Day Fact: My dad proposed to my mom on Valentine's Day 1971.

I'm sure a lot of you know by now that Chad and I have a new nephew, so that makes a grand total of four. 3 nephews and 1 niece. We also have a lot of close first cousins that are having children and we're claiming them to be our own as well. It's fun having a bunch of little ones to spoil and give back. LOL We have a few that have birthdays all around the same time, so here are our February babies.
